Training and Certifications
We believe in doing it right the first time! The only way to do that is with proper training and superior skills. Our International UBC and Industry Leaders have partnered to create the journeyman upgrade courses here. We spend over $100 million per year on training alone. This training partnership with our signatory Employers gives us the edge we need to meet our Employers needs effectively.
UBC Millwright Qualification- Having a qualified millwrights on the job guarantees a standard competency level and skill set for journeymen that is necessary to meet the Employer's needs.
GE Gas Turbine Qualification-
160 hours of skill training including a major overhaul of a Frame 5, developed with General Electric, mandatory on all new installations of Gas Turbines.
Flowserve Pump & Seal Technician-
Developed with Flowserve, in depth course on mechanical seals and pump repair resulting in certification.
Dresser Rand Compressor & Recip Certification-
Currently under development; Tailored to fit Dresser Rand FSS's needs here in Alaska for gas compression needs in the Petrochemical Industry.
Precision Machinery Alignment-
Rim & Face Dial Indicator Alignment, Reverse Double Dial Indicator Alignment, Laser Alignment with Rotolign Pro, Thermal Growth, and Vertical Alignment for Rotating Equipment.
Optical Machinery Alignment-
Optical Alignment with Transit Jig Squares and Precision Levels for accurate installation of equipment.
Hy-torq Qualification-
Proper fastening, bolting, and torque of fasteners with the latest equipment.
Safety- Millwright 16 Hour Health & Safety Course, OSHA 10, MSHA, Hazardous Materials, MSDS, Confined Space.
First Aid/CPR-
Mandatory for our remote locations.
NSTC-
Specialized Petroleum Industry safety training and orientation to work safely in our arctic environment.
Rough Terrain Forklift Qualification-
Meets OSHA requirements to operate all types of fork trucks typically used in Alaska.
Aerial Lift Qualification-
Meets OSHA requirements to operate scissorlift and manlift equipment.
Qualified Scaffold Erector-
Meets OSHA requirements to erect, maintain, and inspect all types of scaffolding on your project.
